Last Pick of the Season ✿ Sunday 26th April at Tomtit Farm
This Sunday 26th April marks the final Pick Your Own Flowers day of the season here at Tomtit Farm.
And we’re not quietly closing the gate… we’re sending it out with a bang.
It also happens to be my birthday, which feels like the perfect reason to gather everyone one more time, celebrate the season that’s been, and soak up the last of the summer energy before we shift into winter.
We’ve teamed up with PAUSE to bring something a little different to the farm this weekend.
And to keep everyone warm and caffeinated, Koa Kawhe will be on site serving coffee all morning.

What’s happening
RUN Club from the farm
Starting at 9am with both 5km and 10km options - out from the farm for a little explore in Matangi.
This is a relaxed, community run - Run it, jog it or walk it.
Bring your pram, your kids, your dog. This is a family-friendly, dog-friendly morning.
Run options:
Run only - Free
Run + oats - $15
Run + oats + sauna/ice - $40
(we do ask that you register for the run so we can keep tabs on numbers)
Post-run, you’ll be welcomed back with oats from Oat Bros, a hot coffee, and the option to jump into the sauna and ice for recovery.
Not a runner? No worries at all. You’re still very much invited.
PYO Flowers (9am-12pm)
The flower gardens will be open as usual for Pick Your Own, but this is the tail end of the season. The beds are slower, a little more wild and a little more autumn.
To reflect that, we’ll have:
Special pricing on buckets
Access to our dried flower stash so you can still create something beautiful
It’s a slower kind of magic, but still magic all the same.

Seedlings & Pre-Orders Launching
We’re also opening up pre-orders and farm-only specials for the season ahead:
Available for pre-order:
Ranunculus (Marshmallow & Salmon) - 6 packs (collection later in May)
Dahlia Lucky Dip Tubers - packs of 5 (collection Aug/Sept)
Spring Flower Packs - poppies, delphiniums, foxgloves, anemone (6 packs, May collection)
Tulip Club (PYO Tulips) - memberships for spring
Available on the day:
Vegetable seedlings ready to take home and plant into your winter gardens
Some spring cut flower seedling mixes
Seeds
Why we’re doing this
This day is about more than just flowers.
It’s about celebrating a season that’s been full of growth, connection, and community. Every person who has walked through the gates, picked a bucket, brought their kids, shared a moment in the garden… you’ve all been part of it.
So this Sunday is a thank you.
One last pick.
We’d love to see you there.
