There's a new movement taking shape in New Zealand, and we think it's long overdue.
Young Organic Growers Aotearoa - YOGA -is launching this June, and we're proud to be part of it.
YOGA is bringing together the next generation of organic and regenerative growers across Aotearoa. Whether you're a seasoned producer, a home gardener, or just someone who cares deeply about where food comes from and how it's grown, this community is for you.
The Launch: Midwinter Sociale at Monavale Organic Blueberries
To celebrate, YOGA is hosting a Midwinter Sociale at Monavale Organic Blueberries in Cambridge and it looks like a genuinely beautiful evening.
Here's what's on:
Orchard and packhouse tour
Sunset drinks and canapés
Dinner included
Award-winning organic blueberry wine
A chance to meet young growers and industry leaders from around the motu
Friday 12th June, from 3:45pm 156 Turkington Road, Cambridge $50 a ticket (includes dinner and farm tour)
Why we think this matters
One of the things we believe at Tomtit Farm is that organic and regenerative growing is stronger when growers are connected to each other. The knowledge, the encouragement, the shared problem-solving that's what builds a resilient food system.
YOGA is creating the space for that to happen. And we're excited to see where it goes.
If you're involved in horticulture, viticulture, apiculture, regenerative farming, or community growing or if you're simply passionate about the future of food in New Zealand this evening is worth showing up for.
Book your ticket at monavaleblueberries.co.nz
We hope to see some familiar faces there.
